| Sustained twenty-five plus years of community involvement
including 7 years as Chair of the Planning Commission for the City
of Gaithersburg, one of the four founding members of the Suburban
Maryland High Technology Council (now Maryland State High Tech Council),
Co-founder of the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology and
the Montgomery County campus of the University of Maryland and member
of the Governors Blue Ribbon Panel to review the state of Higher
Education in Maryland. U.S. Department of Commerce Award for Outstanding
Volunteer and designated by President Bush as one of his "1000
Points of Light" for community service. |
